I recently had an encounter with a lady who commented on my gray hairs. She felt comfortable comparing me to my mom and pointing out how she didn’t have any gray hairs compared to the amount I have. Which, by the way, my beautiful mother has great genes, and she was right, she has zero gray hairs.😍
In my case, my gray hairs are due to genetics (my dad’s side). I started getting them when I was 15. As she continued mentioning them and making little jokes about it, I just felt really unbothered by her comments. I stayed quiet and made her feel uncomfortable by removing my sunglasses and looking directly at her as she kept talking.🤭
Once she understood the memo, she finished her sentence by saying, “But the good thing, you got your mom’s genes. You have really nice skin.” 🙄
People will always have something to say to make you feel insecure, but I’ve learned over the years to let it slide and, more importantly, to embrace my gray hairs.🤎
